AWS replaces flat event fees with usage pricing for AgentCore short-term memory

AWS has replaced flat per-event pricing for Amazon Bedrock AgentCore short-term memory with charges based on data ingested, retrieved and stored. The service gives AI agents context within a session; AWS says developers recording frequent, small events now pay in proportion to usage. Ingestion costs $1.00 per GB, retrieval $0.20 per GB and storage $0.10 per GB-month. Ingestion and retrieval carry a 12 KB minimum and 64 KB maximum billable size per event, while storage uses actual event size. The pricing applies in all regions offering AgentCore Memory. Long-term memory pricing is unchanged.
