Facebook tests opening directly into Reels for users in India

Facebook tests opening directly into Reels for users in India Image: Primary
Meta has begun testing a Facebook interface in India that opens directly into full-screen video for some users, TechCrunch reported. The test changes the app's initial destination from the traditional feed to a video experience centered on Reels. Participants can opt out and return to a Feed-first experience, Meta said, and the classic feed remains available in a second tab. India is Facebook's largest market by users, with Meta's advertising tools indicating an audience of more than 400 million people. Facebook head Tom Alison previously said the company would explore bringing the interface to the United States next year.
