Microsoft, Marvell and Oracle introduce open-source integrated HSM initiative

Microsoft, Marvell and Oracle introduce open-source integrated HSM initiative Image: Primary
Microsoft, Marvell and Oracle are introducing Tessera Integrated HSM, an open-source initiative for hardware security modules that perform cryptographic operations and protect keys within hardware. Microsoft says the initiative carries forward the architecture used by Azure Integrated HSM. Tessera opens the architecture, specifications, protocols, drivers, software, firmware and silicon to the broader community. Azure's approach places cryptographic operations closer to workloads while keeping keys inside the hardware security boundary rather than exposing them in application memory. The announcement concerns an open-source initiative built on that architecture, rather than a newly available Azure customer service.
