Video shows Chinese workshops converting RTX 5090 cards for servers

Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 Image: Primary
Newly surfaced footage shows Chinese workshops dismantling GeForce RTX 5090 graphics cards and rebuilding their components into designs suited to servers, Tom's Hardware reported. The cards are not officially available in China. Technicians remove the GB202 processors and GDDR7 memory, then transplant them into dual-slot cards with blower cooling. The footage shows conversions of both partner cards and Nvidia Founders Edition models, followed by testing and repackaging. The conversion provides a route from consumer graphics hardware to dense server installations. The report's suggestion that factories convert thousands of cards daily is an estimate, and its identification of data centers or AI labs as customers is tentative.
