Apple ends servicing for final 12-inch MacBook model and iPad 6

Apple ends servicing for final 12-inch MacBook model and iPad 6 Image: Primary
Apple has added the 2017 12-inch MacBook, sixth-generation iPad and BeatsX earphones to its obsolete products list, ending their eligibility for Apple repairs and other servicing, 9to5Mac reports. The iPad designation covers both Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + Cellular models. The change puts every 12-inch MacBook model on the obsolete list: the 2015 and 2016 versions were already included. Apple applies the designation to products it stopped selling seven or more years ago. Its separate vintage classification still allows service, subject to parts availability.
