AWS announced expanded Claude model access on Amazon Bedrock for customers needing to keep inference within India, South Korea or Singapore. India gains Claude Opus 5, Sonnet 5 and Haiku 4.5; South Korea gains Opus 5 and Sonnet 5; Singapore gains Sonnet 5. In India, requests use geographic cross-Region inference across Mumbai and Hyderabad, keeping processing within India. South Korea and Singapore use in-region endpoints in Seoul and Singapore, respectively, with processing remaining in the called region. AWS identifies financial services, healthcare and public-sector customers as users of these geographic controls. The model selection differs by country.
