Google moves links higher in AI search responses

Google moves links higher in AI search responses Image: Primary
Google is changing AI Mode and AI Overviews to place inline links higher in responses more frequently and make end-of-response links more prominent, 9to5Google reported. The Dive Deeper section will gain image thumbnails and a more clickable design. The company is also expanding timely-article carousels and Preferred Sources to more locations and languages. Separately, it is testing a section at the top of AI responses for official sites where users can complete tasks, with explanations of why each link is useful.
