Bitwarden plans commercial builds for app stores starting next release

Bitwarden plans commercial builds for app stores starting next release Image: Primary
Bitwarden says its apps distributed through stores will use commercially licensed builds starting with the next release. Current features will remain available in both the commercial and GPLv3 open-source versions, and users will not need to take action. The company says the GPLv3 version will continue receiving updates on GitHub. Some future components will appear only in the commercial build, with licensing decisions made feature by feature. Commercial code will remain viewable on GitHub. Bitwarden also says third-party community servers can continue choosing which features to support.
