SUNY launches Google Cloud AI platform across nine research campuses

SUNY launches Google Cloud AI platform across nine research campuses Image: Primary
Google Public Sector announced the launch of the SUNY AI Platform, bringing a shared AI and high-performance computing environment to nine of the State University of New York's most research-intensive campuses. Built on Google Cloud with Gemini Enterprise, it combines storage, computing and more than 200 AI models for university researchers. The platform gives research teams a common environment instead of requiring campuses to assemble those capabilities separately, with shared governance and support for collaboration. SUNY is also offering students and faculty system-wide access to free Google AI credentials; the computing platform's initial availability covers nine campuses.
