Microsoft investigates Defender blocks on Google search links

Microsoft investigates Defender blocks on Google search links Image: Primary
Microsoft is investigating an inaccurate security classification that is causing Defender for Office 365 Safe Links to identify legitimate Google search URLs as malicious and block them. The company acknowledged the incident at 10:30 UTC and said affected users see a warning when opening the links. Microsoft said copying links directly into a browser does not bypass the warning and that administrators may receive related alerts in Defender and Sentinel.
