Flexiv secures strategic investment from Invus to scale adaptive robots

Flexiv Secures Capital from Leading Evergreen Investor to Scale Global Deployment of Adaptive Robots Image: Primary
Flexiv announced it secured strategic investment led by Invus with participation from existing investors. The company will direct the funds toward expanding research and development capacity and its global sales and service infrastructure. Flexiv creates general-purpose robots that rely on proprietary force-sensing technology and embodied artificial intelligence. This enables operation in unstructured environments and performance of delicate tasks historically done by hand. The firm has built a portfolio that includes articulated robot arms, grippers, autonomous mobile robot platforms and delta robots. Having established operations in North America and China, Flexiv is now growing its presence in Europe and Asia. Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Shiquan Wang said the investment allows the company to scale its global footprint while advancing long-term technical development. Invus operates as a global investment institution with offices in New York, Paris and Hong Kong. The firm has focused on long-term value creation since 1985 and manages more than 12 billion dollars in assets.
