AWS offers free Ethereum and Solana snapshots for node setup

AWS has announced free Ethereum and Solana blockchain snapshots in Amazon S3 that let node operators initialize nodes from existing chain data instead of synchronizing through the networks. AWS says the snapshots use a format that supports extraction across multiple processor cores to reduce setup time. Operators can use them to expand fleets serving blockchain queries, recover failed nodes or restore corrupted databases. Availability covers US East (N. Virginia), Europe (Ireland) and Asia Pacific (Tokyo). Access requires an EC2 instance in the same Region and an S3 gateway VPC endpoint; refreshes follow the upstream provider's cadence.
