Google announced new models and tools at its I/O 2026 event this week. The company launched Gemini 3.5 Flash, which is generally available via Google Antigravity, the Gemini API in Google AI Studio and Android Studio. The model outperforms Gemini 3.1 Pro on benchmarks such as Terminal-Bench 2.1, GDPval-AA and MCP Atlas. Gemini 3.5 Flash supports long-horizon agentic tasks. Google also introduced Gemini Omni for creating video from any input. Gemini Omni Flash is rolling out to Google AI Plus, Pro and Ultra subscribers through the Gemini app and Google Flow. The model is available at no cost in YouTube Shorts Remix and the YouTube Create app for users 18 and older. AI Mode in Search has surpassed 1 billion monthly users. It now uses Gemini 3.5 Flash as the default model globally. Google unveiled a new intelligent Search box that supports text, images, files, videos and Chrome tabs. Information agents are planned for Search this summer for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers. Generative UI with Antigravity is also rolling out this summer. Personal Intelligence in AI Mode is expanding to nearly 200 countries and territories across 98 languages. No subscription is required. Users can connect apps like Gmail and Google Photos.
