NVIDIA weighs acquisition or further investment in Reflection AI

NVIDIA in Talks to Acquire or Invest in Reflection AI to Advance Open-Weight Model Development | KuCoin Image: Primary
NVIDIA is negotiating an acquisition of Reflection AI or an additional investment in the open-weight model developer, KuCoin reported, citing IT Home's account of Financial Times reporting. Possible structures include hiring Reflection's core team and licensing its technology, rather than buying the entire company. NVIDIA has previously invested $800 million in Reflection. A new arrangement could also involve additional chips and computing resources. Sources expected a deal within the coming weeks, but said negotiations could break down. The account gives conflicting descriptions of how advanced the talks are; both companies declined to comment.
