President Donald Trump signed an executive order establishing the U.S. Space Academy during a visit to NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston. The academy is intended to train people for roles in the U.S. Space Force, NASA and the civilian space industry. The directive begins the creation process by setting up a commission chaired by NASA administrator Jared Isaacman. Trump said a location would be selected shortly. The order does not name a site or provide an opening timetable.
