CXMT forecasts 131B to 132.5B yuan profit as memory shortages lift prices

CXMT forecasts 131B to 132.5B yuan profit as memory shortages lift prices Image: Primary
Chinese memory chipmaker CXMT expects net profit of 131B to 132.5B yuan ($19.6B to $19.8B) for January through September 2026, reversing a 5.3B yuan loss a year earlier, according to its preliminary filing with the Shanghai Stock Exchange. Revenue is expected to reach 265B to 270B yuan, compared with 32.1B yuan. CXMT said AI computing demand has created shortages of DRAM, the memory used in phones, PCs and servers, and pushed prices higher. It also credited added capacity, greater factory utilization and more chips produced per silicon wafer. Separately, chairman Zhu Yiming proposed a 1B to 2B yuan share buyback over 12 months.
