Anthropic has added an in-app browser to Claude Cowork in its desktop app, according to a report based on the company's announcement and documentation. The browser opens as needed for general web tasks and remains tied to the running Claude app on a Mac; sessions can be controlled remotely through Claude's mobile app or the web while it remains open. The report says users can log in manually or import cookies from Chrome, Edge or Firefox, but not Safari.
