AWS expands centralized FSx backups to New Zealand region

AWS has added support for four Amazon FSx file systems to AWS Backup in its Asia Pacific (New Zealand) Region, the company announced. Customers can now centrally automate data protection for FSx for Lustre, NetApp ONTAP, OpenZFS, and Windows File Server alongside other supported AWS resources. The service lets customers schedule backups through policy-based plans, apply retention rules, store backups in encrypted vaults, and restore file systems. Customers can configure these functions through the AWS Backup console, command-line interface, or software development kits.
