Re:Build has raised $2.1 billion in a round led by General Catalyst and JPMorganChase's Strategic Investment Group. The Massachusetts manufacturing accelerator said Tuesday that it will use the money to expand its capacity to manufacture hard tech products and launch industrial startups. The company partners with industrial businesses to design, engineer and manufacture products, including in aerospace and defense, while also incubating startups. Re:Build says its network employs more than 2,100 people in the United States and has more than 2.4 million square feet of manufacturing capacity. It spun out electric-vehicle startup Slate Auto in 2023; other investors in the new round were not disclosed.
