T-Mobile completes commercial-network call using Nvidia and Nokia AI-RAN platform

NVIDIA-Powered Telecom Networks Image: Primary
T-Mobile completed a call on its commercial network in Bellevue, Washington, using Nvidia computing hardware and Nokia radio software, Nvidia announced. The setup connected commercial servers and radios to an existing 5G Standalone core and a commercial smartphone. The platform lets operators run mobile network software and AI applications on shared computing hardware. Elisa also ran voice, mobile data and video analytics together in a 5G field trial. Broader deployment remains prospective: BT plans live trials in Birmingham in 2027, while Deutsche Telekom plans to move from laboratory validation to field trials that year.
