TSMC raises revenue outlook as demand exceeds available supply

TSMC Says AI Chip Demand Is Still Far Above What It Can Supply. That's Why I'd Buy Nvidia Stock. Image: Primary
TSMC reported third-quarter revenue of $46.7 billion on Oct. 15, exceeding its July forecast range of $44.6 billion to $45.8 billion, The Motley Fool reported. The chipmaker now expects 2026 revenue growth of about 44% in U.S. dollars, up from a little over 40% previously. High-performance computing, which includes AI chips, accounted for 68% of revenue and grew 22% sequentially. TSMC forecast fourth-quarter revenue of $52.3 billion to $54.3 billion. CEO C.C. Wei said demand remained above supply capability, but declined to distinguish demand from AI accelerators and central processing units. TSMC does not disclose how much revenue comes from Nvidia.
